I went back the other day and made a list of all the races I've done this year. It was actually way more than I thought. Anyway, it was so fun for me to take this trip down memory lane, that I decided to share it with you all. I've provided links to the race reports for those which happened after I started blogging. Enjoy:~Sant Antoni Festa Major 10k (58:00): Joolie and I showed up 8 minutes late to the start because we got lost. What do you do? We just started running!
~Terrassa Half Marathon: (2:05:13) I decided to do this one at the last minute after already
having done a long run a couple of days before. What I didn't know was that half of it was uphill - straight uphill. That sucked.~Gavà Half Marathon (2:00:45): We did this one just for the sweatshirts. I still wear that sweatshirt just about every day around the house. It was a good day, but the memory will always be tainted by the fact that when I got home I found out that my shitty drug addict girlfriend had relapsed.
~Barcelona Half Marathon (2:06:50): I did this one as part of a longer training run, so pay no attention to time, I'd already run quite a bit that day. I remember being SO over running by the time I finished this one.
~Barcelona Marathon (4:56:09) Mentally, the worst racing experience of my life, but not because of the race itself. It went within 1 block of our house, and shitty girlfriend didn't even come out to cheer me on. That day sucked.
~Corte Inglés 11k
~Sant Cougat 150k bike ride over hills. My first DNF, or GKOFS (Got kicked out for sucking)
~Tres Nacions (146km with 5,600 feet of altitude gain in 6:36) The most epic event or workout I have ever participated in; a ride through three countries and up the tallest peak in the Pyranees in one day. This is probably my favorite race report of the year.~A swim with the Soggy Homos: not really a race, but fun nonetheless. Based on responses, it seems like this was the most popular post of the year (coupled with the pictures)
My solo century: again, not a real race, but my personal favorite post of the year
Tri-Trials Sprint (1:20:28) An exercise in patience, and in Spanish back asswardness. It wasn't really a DNF, just a DNC (Did Not Count)
Witch City Sprint (1:27:52) A lesson in humility. Don't count your chickens, folks.
Nutmeg State Sprint (1:21:06) I got to meet Angry and Bob Almighty and we all took to the podium!Trick or Trot 5k (30:30) Angry and Claire in dresses running through the ghetto in the rain! What could be better?!
Cape Cod Marathon (marathon, 4:40:20) The untrained marathon done on piss and vinegar
that turned out to be one of the most positive race experiences of my life.Busa Bushwhack (9.3 miles, 1:35:05) Got out-sprinted by an old man with a hunchback. This is probably my other favorite race report.
Wild Turkey Run (5 mi, 44:36) Where I almost puked to break 45 minutes. I wasn't the only one feeling queezy that day...
Wind up the Westin (26 stories, 3:21) Where I fell in love.
Next up: a list of races I plan to do next season.

Great year! I think you are more of a runner than you think sometimes ;-) Looking forward to see what is on deck for this coming year.
Yay! A year of racing complete... and I agree with Rocketpants... you are BETTER than you think! Let's work on your confidence next season and I think you should add a race in Hawaii to your schedule!
Adios muchacha! Que tengas un buen dia!
It is really interesting to look back, eh? What a great year of racing, although I'm sorry some of those races are associated with bad memories. I still love how you ran the marathon on a whim - and kicked ass! Way to go.
Great pics, sadly my spanish utterly sucks soI wasn't able to read most of the last one. About the coach post I agree I could definately use a coach like that, as well as a scale to curb my...food comsumption.
Who is angry and who is bob in that pic? Wait - Angry must be wearing the underarmour....
congrats on a great season!!
