I just signed up for Ironman Cozumel! I'll be bib number 1076.
And what the hell is up with all those questions? Home paper? Home news station? This is required information?! I wanted to put the London Mirror or some foreign tabloid or something. Significant personal achievements? I wanted to say Peeing into a Mountain Dew bottle without spilling a drop. Why are "Nationality" and "Nation you're racing for" different questions? I suppose if you're Basque or Palestinian it would be significant. I was tempted to race for Azerbaijan or something. Why is "do you wear contact lenses" a required field, but allergies to medications is optional? And yet they don't ask your t-shirt size.
WTC, I am NOT impressed. Nor am I impressed with the $525 registration fee, or the $26 processing fee. What the hell do you have to PROCESS?!
In other news, to answer the poll question: Is it possible to look cool in an aero helmet?
The answer: No.
Too bad blogger's being a bitch so I can't show you a picture.
This weekend Michelle, swimming buddy Alison, training partner/rival Anne, Mary, and I all go head to head at Lobsterman. Stay tuned. It should be an interesting race report.

yeah..what is with those questions on applications????? I remember a couple years back when I applied for the kona lottery... o for 11 now ,...by the way...anyway when i applied i screwed up the country..and I was from Uzebekistan instead of United State.
