Am I retarded?

I know that a bunch of you folks are doing Ironman Cozumel.  Does anyone know how the Hawaii slots are distributed?  I know that there are 50 slots, but the actual slot distribution link seems to link to itself.  Does anyone know how many slots are in each age group (specifically the women's 25-29 age group)?  Are they only going to decide when they know how many people are in each age group?  What gives?

I think it is based on demographics of the race. All age groups will get one spot, but the remainder are spread out over the age groups based on %age of entrants. I'm not for sure on this...just my understanding.

So like you alluded to, they may not have the slot distribution until closer to the race (or when the race fills up).

Greyt times has it right. Your age group will probably have 3 slots. My age group usually gets 4 or 5 since it is the largest women's age group.

Yeah Kona!!! I have no idea how it works, but I am totally psyched about the idea of you getting there.

Yes, I think it depends on the AG distribution at the race itself. There are fewer spots for 25-29 F then for all male groups or for the larger female groups like 40-44--I know that. They will provide that info when it's full, I bet.
