Dave 14: recovery

I don't think I have ever run the day after a marathon. Why would I ever run the day after a marathon? I'm not stupid. But I am doing something stupid, and stupid times call for stupid measures. Don't get me wrong. I'm not doubting what I'm doing. But it is stupid to take something that everybody knows is true, but experience tells you is true, and flip it on its head to see if it's true. So I had to do three hours of exercise the day after doing a marathon.

My legs were surprisingly fine. My ankles were a little bit cranky and my calves tight, but other than that I had no problem demonstrating exercises or being on my feet all day. Still, I only actually ran a token 2 miles. The rest I did on the bike. Oh well, in general I feel like cycling is cheating unless necessary, but in this case I don't mind cheating.
